Tanom Motors has combined two things that most of us don’t think much about, to sell it at a price that most of us are not willing to pay.
The Culpeper-based motorcycle maker has dropped a 197-horsepower, four-cylinder Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engine into a three-wheeled reverse trike. Tanom Motors is releasing two versions, an open-roofed deal and a “Red Rocker” special edition that has been signed by the Red Rocker himself, Sammy Hagar.
Driven by one giant 18-inche rear wheel, the reverse trike goes from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds.
The 55 “Red Rocker” special editions will sell for $49,995 a pop.
